China Research Manager/Director
We seek a highly motivated candidate to manage and conduct research for Strategy Risks. Candidates who have a degree in international relations, political science, public policy, business, finance, or a related field will be highly considered. The ideal candidate is an experienced and organized researcher and manager who commands a strong understanding of China and the private sector. Reading and speaking proficiency in Chinese is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise, review, and provide feedback for a team of researchers
Manage client projects: plan, organize, and direct the completion of specific research projects
Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Manage research-related communications and various databases created by the team
(If desired) Speaking to media and at events about company analysis of the U.S.-China space
Research and analyze the risks that American and global companies face in China
Desired Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
5-8 years of experience in a relevant field, with qualitative and quantitative research experience
At least 2 years of experience managing a team or research project management
Strong English-language writing and communication skills
Effective critical thinking and strong attention to detail
Outstanding research and data analysis skills
Experience with data and knowledge management
Strong understanding of China and the private sector
Experience living in, working on, or studying China
Reading and speaking proficiency in Chinese is preferred, but not required
Self-starter and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience collaborating with diverse groups of people
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant research technologies
The China Research Manager/Director role is a full-time paid position. This is a remote position with flexible scheduling. Salary and seniority of the position commensurate with experience.
